Sound familiar?

You’re behind on your books and don’t even know where to start.

You paid someone to handle it, and it still wasn’t done right.

Your CPA says your books need to be fixed before you can file your taxes.

You’ve tried to do it yourself, but you’re just not sure you’re doing it right.

It’s become more than you have time for, and it’s starting to keep you up at night.

If you nodded at even one of these, you’re not alone, and it’s not your fault.

Shopify books get messy fast, and it’s not because you did something wrong. It’s because of how Shopify sends you your money. The good news? It’s fixable. And you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

Why Shopify books get messy

When you make a sale, Shopify doesn’t send that money straight to your bank. It holds it, takes out its cut, and sends you a payout.

So the number that hits your bank account doesn’t match what you actually sold. And if that payout just gets recorded as “income,” your books can look fine while being wrong in ways nobody catches until tax time.

That’s how you end up with profit that looks bigger (or smaller) than it really is, sales tax mixed in with your income, and a CPA telling you your books need to be fixed before you can file.

That’s where I come in. I break every payout back down into what actually happened: your real sales, fees, refunds, and sales tax. That way your books match reality, and you can file your taxes with confidence.
